Senior Medical Scientist / Senior Biomedical Scientist AutoLab (Blood Sciences)

📋 Description

• Rotate through all functions of the AutoLab including Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Haematology
• Work closely with and support Chief Medical Scientists and Laboratory Operations Director.
• Lead and coordinate scientific staff and auxiliary laboratory personnel.
• Supervise and support basic grade scientists, students and auxiliary personnel.
• Authorise results ensuring accuracy at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the department.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Biomedical Science
• CORU registered as Medical Scientist OR HCPC registered as Biomedical Scientist
• Bachelor Degree: At least 5 years' experience as Basic Grade Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist
• Master Degree: At least 2 years' experience as Senior Medical Scientist/Senior Biomedical Scientist
• Diligent, strong work ethic
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
