Senior Platform Engineer (x/f/m) - Backend Platform

📋 Description

• Own the backend building blocks every Alan product depends on, and make them simple enough that
• Build and evolve the events pipeline (Postgres outbox, Redis Streams, S3 archive) to enable
• Implement data replication between services by publishing read-only tables and maintaining local
• Develop tools to extract capabilities from the monolith, such as service templates, APIs between
• Manage the shared runtime including queues, cache, and the transaction layer, ensuring proper SLOs
• Define and document the backend direction and rules for how backends are built at Alan

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with code other teams depend on (libraries, frameworks
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems: events and messaging (delivery guarantees, ordering
• In-depth PostgreSQL knowledge: transactions, locks, replication, query plans.
• Experience splitting a monolith or building services incrementally while production keeps running.
• Ability to measure before optimizing and set SLOs and alerts for owned systems.
• English working proficiency; French not required.
