Senior Revenue Accountant

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition for Gusto Retirement (401K SaaS).
• Prepare monthly journal entries and subledger reconciliations for retirement revenue.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close on schedule.
• Apply ASC 606 guidance to complex arrangements (variable consideration).
• Build automated solutions with AI, Python/SQL, or Excel scripting.
• Identify process improvements to reduce close cycle time and boost accuracy.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA preferred (active or in progress)
• 5+ years accounting experience, at least 3 in revenue
• Strong ASC 606 knowledge for SaaS or subscription models
• Proven automation track record: scripts, tools, or workflows
• Advanced Excel; Python or SQL a strong plus
• NetSuite or revenue subledger experience a plus
