Senior Security Engineer - Detection & Response

📋 Description

• Lead incident response coordination and on-call escalation for Canva's cloud infra
• Investigate and triage security alerts; coordinate containment and recovery
• Lead post-incident reviews; drive improved detections and playbooks
• Build and automate response workflows and playbooks to reduce analyst toil
• Partner with CTI, App Security, and Red Team on threat intel to detections
• Develop and improve security tooling across case management, SOAR, SIEM, and forensics

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in incident response, DFIR, or security operations coordinating events
• Experience with enterprise security platforms (SIEM, EDR, SOAR)
• Investigative mindset; solve ambiguous security problems; risk-based decisions
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure) and cloud attacks
• Knowledge of IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and DevOps practices
• Proficient in scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, etc.)
