Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Own parts of the CLI workspace runtime backing dbt surfaces.
• Design and build agent-facing experiences: streaming responses, diff review, charting, output for
• Extend dbt into developer surfaces via MCP integrations with AI clients (Claude, Codex).
• Lead end-to-end projects: plan, partner with design/product, ship in two-week sprints, measure
• Provide oncall coverage and mentor junior engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building production software with senior ownership of multi-person projects.
• Deep Python experience plus exposure to TypeScript and React.
• Experience with IDEs/editors/CLI/SDKs/LSP servers or data tools used by developers.
• Comfort with shipping operations: APIs, Kubernetes, Postgres, observability.
• Strong written communication to argue technically and align stakeholders.
• Experience working asynchronously on a fully-remote, distributed team.
