Senior Software Engineer, API Platform

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate APIs and services powering products and integrations.
• Make platform great for agents: clear schemas, predictable behavior, guardrails, observability.
• Define agent-facing infra: tool definitions, MCP-style protocols, agent auth and auditing.
• Own services end-to-end from architecture to deployment, monitoring, and on-call.
• Improve developer experience for internal teams, partners, and AI engineers.
• Set API Platform direction: standards, versioning, auth, rate limiting, observability.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering, backend services, and APIs.
• Deep expertise in API design (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC) and distributed systems.
• Strong production experience with Python, Go, Node, Typescript, or Ruby on Rails on AWS.
• Ability to design APIs/tools for AI agents from day one.
• Track record leading cross-team initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Comfortable owning observability, on-call, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
