📋 Description

• Build integration with FFIEC-approved bank core and payment networks.
• Design internal APIs with simple, consistent interfaces to external systems.
• Handle retries, failures, format mismatches, and downtime.
• Build data pipelines syncing Mercury's bank core.
• Own monitoring, alerting, and recovery for external connections.
• Partner with teams to define clean boundaries and reliable contracts.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years building & operating backend infra and distributed systems at scale.
• Experience integrating modern distributed systems with legacy infrastructure.
• Understanding banking systems: accounts, transactions, ledgers, data models.
• Product-minded engineer focusing on API consumers.
• Thrives building new systems, not just maintaining.
• Comfortable with Haskell or eager to learn.
