Senior Software Engineer, Climate

📋 Description

• Work closely with Climate Programs Manager to understand customer needs, challenge assumptions, and
• Own delivery from problem discovery and technical design through implementation, launch, operation
• Build emissions intelligence into everyday supply chain decisions, including routing, transport
• Help customers identify opportunities to reduce emissions using Flexport's shipment data.
• Make lower-emission choices easier to understand and act on within existing workflows.
• Develop products that help customers understand the wider environmental footprint of their supply

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong engineering foundation and experience
• Track record of working independently: bringing structure to unclear problems, setting priorities
• Strong product judgment: understanding user needs, identifying what is worth building, and making
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders: asking good questions, explaining technical
• Ability to own features across the stack, including user interfaces, backend services, and data
• Love of simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to break.
