Senior Software Engineer, Data Foundations

📋 Description

• Own and evolve asynchronous data services that support data synchronization across Box’s systems
• Take ownership of existing services and help improve their reliability, scalability, observability
• Design and implement new services and improvements to support growing data volumes and evolving
• Help ensure data remains consistent and reliable across different data stores and downstream
• Identify opportunities to simplify and consolidate existing services and improve the overall data
• Collaborate with engineers and teams across Core Data and Box to understand data requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Strong backend engineer with 5+ years of Software Development experience, ideally working with
• Demonstrated proficiency in Java or Scala and experience building production backend services.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying highly available, scalable, and reliable distributed
• Experience working with asynchronous systems, data processing, messaging, or event-driven
• Strong understanding of data consistency, synchronization, and reliability across distributed
• Experience taking ownership of production services, including troubleshooting, performance
