Senior Software Engineer - Observe by Snowflake, Streaming Data Products

📋 Description

• Own the streaming data product surface — APIs, schemas, and abstractions for tables, views, and
• Design abstractions for queryable data, including streaming materialized views, reference tables
• Define freshness semantics and controls to balance query latency and compute cost
• Design APIs with strong schema taste: versioning, compatibility, and clean contracts
• Drive execution engine requirements based on product surface needs
• Ensure usable, multi-stage pipelines with joins, windowing, and time-based aggregations

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in databases, SQL, stream
• Deep knowledge of data processing or streaming internals (late-arriving data, backfill, schema
• Experience designing and shipping APIs with strong DB schema design, versioning, and developer
• Architectural thinking: systems, interfaces, contracts, long-term evolution
• User empathy and product intuition for how customers define and query data
• Proficiency in Go or another systems language for production-grade distributed systems
