📋 Description

• Own how money physically moves at Alt: providers, rails, orchestration layer, risk posture
• Design and operate money movement: ACH origination and returns, RTP/instant rails, wires, cards
• Architect multi-PSP integrations and a single orchestration layer routing by cost, speed, and health
• Own payouts and collections: instant payouts, batch payouts at auction close, auto-pay batches
• Manage risk on high-value flows: fraud, disputes, chargebacks, holds, limits, settlement windows
• Own payment operations tooling so ops/support can answer 'where is my money' without paging an

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years backend systems experience with heavy focus on Python, Postgres, AWS
• Real money movement experience: ACH origination and returns, RTP/FedNow, wires, or equivalent
• Integrated more than one payment provider in production and lived through one failing
• Handled large transactions where failure is five- or six-figure problem
• API-native: webhooks, idempotency, eventual consistency, exactly-once delivery
• Strong SQL and relational design, write transactions that won't fail under load
