Senior Staff Accountant

📋 Description

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortization, and intercompany entries
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple operating accounts and balance sheet
• Reconcile payroll and labor-related accounts – wages, payroll taxes, benefits, workers'
• Reconcile benefit plan activity (medical, 401(k), and pension) and carrier billings to payroll
• Review corporate purchasing card (P-Card) activity for proper coding, documentation, and policy
• Meet month-, quarter-, and year-end close deadlines.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA, or CPA-eligible and actively pursuing licensure, preferred.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close and balance
• Multi-entity, multi-state experience strongly preferred.
• Payroll and labor-cost accounting in a high-volume, hourly workforce (security, staffing
• Multi-state sales and use tax compliance experience preferred.
