📋 Description

• Provide legal and policy analysis and strategic guidance to local elected officials across a range
• Draft, edit, and review legal memoranda, amicus briefs, policy documents, and other legal materials.
• Manage and oversee the development of legal documents and related work produced by external
• Research and respond to policy and legal questions, including rapid-response requests requiring
• Develop policy briefs, campaign toolkits, template resolutions, training curricula, and other
• Identify and advance creative policy approaches that enable local governments to act despite state

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to practice law in a U.S. state or jurisdiction.
• At least 9 years of relevant legal or policy experience.
• At least 4 years of experience working on immigrant justice through policy, organizing, direct
• Experience working with organizing and campaigns, including collaboration with organizers or
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and editing skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to translate complex legal and policy issues

🎁 Benefits

• Annual salary between $108,600 and $111,000, determined through a salary scale based on relevant
• Union-represented position with employment terms and conditions governed by a collective bargaining
• Salary placement follows the collectively bargained scale and is not individually negotiable once
• Fully remote position based in the United States with no in-office requirement.
• Default four-day work schedule from Monday through Thursday.
