Senior/Staff Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate backend services written in Rust that process high volumes of financial
• Own features end to end, from shaping the product spec through technical design, implementation
• Integrate with external partners such as banks, payment processors, blockchains, and identity and
• Improve engineering quality across observability, incident response, security practices, and API
• Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and other engineering teams across MoonPay's global

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience (8+ for Staff), with a track record of shipping and
• Strong backend experience with a statically compiled language (e.g. Rust, Go, C#, C++)
• Prior professional Rust experience is not required, but interest in Rust is welcome
• Solid fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, data modeling, and asynchronous processing
• Comfort working in correctness-critical domains such as financial systems, double-entry ledgers, or
• A pragmatic, autonomous, ownership-driven mindset with strong critical thinking and clear
