Senior System Analyst, Managed Services

📋 Description

• Install, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server 2016–2022
• Implement and manage Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication
• Configure and maintain SQL Server environments across on-premises infrastructure and cloud
• Manage backup, restore, and point-in-time recovery processes while validating backup integrity and
• Monitor database performance, investigate blocking, deadlocks, wait statistics, and execution-plan
• Plan and execute SQL Server patching, upgrades, and version migrations while minimising service

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA, supporting production environments
• Strong experience with SQL Server 2016–2022 and enterprise database administration in complex
• Proven experience with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping
• Experience administering SQL Server in AWS RDS/EC2 and/or Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance is
• Strong knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies, including native and third-party tools
• Solid understanding of execution-plan analysis, indexing, wait-statistics analysis, blocking
