Senior Systems Engineer, CKS Performance

📋 Description

• Debug kernel and Kubernetes boundary issues
• Trace failures in memory management, scheduling, and namespaces
• Patch upstream Linux kernel, container runtimes, or Kubernetes
• Build diagnostics and tooling for kernel- and cgroup-level observability
• Collaborate with hardware, platform, and Fleet teams for production readiness

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in Linux kernel engineering or systems work
• Deep knowledge of kernel memory management, scheduling, cgroups, and namespaces
• Hands-on with cgroups v1/v2 and namespaces
• Debug kernel crashes using crash, gdb, or kdump
• Strong C programming skills
• Experience with container and Kubernetes stack: containerd, runc, kubelet, CRI
• Skilled at cross-domain debugging across kernel, container runtime, and orchestration layers
