Senior Underwriter - Finance

📋 Description

• Review and evaluate SMB financing applications and supporting documentation.
• Analyze business bank statements, cash flow, revenue patterns, existing debt obligations and
• Review credit reports and other available third-party data sources as part of the underwriting
• Assess repayment capacity, creditworthiness and overall transaction risk.
• Identify inconsistencies, potential fraud indicators, unusual transaction patterns and other risk
• Conduct appropriate business and ownership due diligence.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant underwriting, credit analysis, risk analysis or commercial lending experience.
• Strong preference for experience with SMB/business lending, fintech, alternative lending, merchant
• Experience analyzing business bank statements, cash flow and credit information.
• Strong understanding of credit risk and the factors affecting the financial health of small
• Demonstrated ability to make independent risk decisions rather than exclusively processing
• Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven underwriting environment.
