Senior Web Engineer, Marketing

📋 Description

• Evaluate and evolve the stack, maintain WordPress and Gutenberg, charting the path forward.
• Build systems, not just pages; create reusable infrastructure, templates, and workflows.
• Partner closely with designers and stakeholders to turn design files into scalable web solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical approaches; balance speed, WCAG, Core Web Vitals, and SEO.
• Embed AI into our workflows; use AI tools to accelerate web production.
• Own delivery end to end; scope work, estimate timelines, and keep stakeholders informed.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong front-end: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JS (modern ES), React; headless/API-driven; WordPress/Gutenberg.
• Experience with security teams and managing sites on WP Engine or similar hosting.
• You’ve changed how a web team operates; led systems or migrations.
• Active use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) and a POV on their impact.
• Build for scale: component libraries, templates, documentation, guardrails for autonomous teams.
• Strong project management and cross-disciplinary communication; scope, prioritize, and manage timelines.
