Software Engineer, Robotics

📋 Description

• Architect the robot operating system: design core abstractions for modelling robots, cameras, tools
• Bring in new vision: integrate novel computer vision algorithms into the control loop, ensuring
• Build agentic robotics: apply large models (LLMs/vision-language) to program parts, judge picks
• Move a fleet: route multiple movers without collisions or deadlocks; coordinate gantries, printers
• Bridge to real time: design clean interfaces between high-level planning and real-time motor
• Make it observable: implement simulation, tracing and replay to prove changes and explain failures.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience architecting a large-scale robot code base running in production on real hardware.
• Strong software engineering in Python and Rust (or C++ with willingness to move to Rust). Interest
• Experience with some of: motion/path planning, multi-robot coordination, controls, perception
• Hands-on experience applying large models (LLMs or vision-language models) to robotics, or strong
• Use coding agents to move faster and take ownership of their output.
• Willingness to visit factories in the US and UK to see code run.
