Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Albany, NY

📋 Description

• Interpret and enter prescriptions accurately
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and/or clinicians
• Label and fill prescriptions for pharmacist verification
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations
• Identify medications requiring special handling, storage, refrigeration, or hazardous medication
• Assemble medication-related supplies, including sharps containers, syringes, needles, alcohol

🎯 Requirements

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the state of employment preferred
• Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred
• 1+ year of Pharmacy Technician experience required
• 5+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• Strong phone and patient communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
