Sports Rights Accountant

📋 Description

• Review and analyze sports rights and lease contracts (new acquisitions, renewals and amendments) to
• Perform data entries, postings, reconciliations and supporting schedules for new, renewed and
• Maintain detailed records of all sports rights and lease contracts, payments and related accounting
• Support the monthly, quarterly and annual close for sports rights and leases
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, amortization schedules and balance sheet reconciliations
• Perform net present value and discounted cash flow calculations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• 3+ years in accounting or a similar financial position
• Hands-on operational accounting experience with standard ERP systems
• Prior SOX experience is a plus
• Experience in similar industry or Big4 firm is a plus
• Good understanding of GAAP/IFRS; practical knowledge of IFRS 16 and IAS 38 is a strong plus
