Sr. Accountant, DC Construction - Project Accounting

📋 Description

• Maintain daily record of capital spend, ensuring transactions are coded to correct project, phase
• Review invoices and commitments, flagging items requiring accounting judgment or capitalization
• Keep open items documented and current to resolve issues promptly.
• Support project structure and hierarchy setup and maintenance.
• Maintain mapping of cost to build elements and asset records.
• Support interface of project cost between NetSuite and SiteTracker; troubleshoot discrepancies.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience, with background in capital, construction, or fixed asset
• Demonstrated experience preparing accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules on a fixed
• Working understanding of how capital cost accumulates in CIP and transfers to fixed assets when
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with SOX control environment.
• Strong Excel skills, including ability to work accurately with large data sets.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with non-accounting teams.
