Staff Avionics Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Own mechanical hardware design for next-gen space avionics platforms.
• Design enclosures, mounting structures, thermal accommodations, and interfaces.
• Ensure survivability in launch/space environments; solve thermal/structural challenges.
• Hands-on, prototype-heavy work; iterate from first principles; deliver flight-ready hardware.
• Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 7+ years in mechanical design, packaging, or thermal management for aerospace
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent) and structural/thermal analysis tools
• Hands-on experience building, testing, and debugging hardware in a lab
• Proven ability to deliver mechanical systems from concept through flight
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced settings
