Staff / Lead Backend Engineer, Payments Platform

📋 Description

• Design and build payment platform capabilities (orchestration, fraud, multi-provider)
• Build global bill payment product to streamline cash flow for SMBs
• Develop high-throughput, scalable platform services
• Contribute to production code, PoCs, and technical deep dives
• Set technical direction and mentor engineers; foster inclusion
• Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record delivering highly available, distributed backends
• Deep understanding of architecture, API design, SQL and NoSQL
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Golang, or C++, plus AWS
• Hands-on contributor to production code, PoCs, and deep dives
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and inclusive culture
• Ability to break down complex problems and drive agile execution
