Staff Software Engineer, Capacity and Efficiency Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead the Capacity arm's tech direction — architecture and roadmaps for AWS spend.
• Design scalable cost attribution and chargeback systems for fair accountability.
• Architect automated anomaly detection and governance tooling for spend health.
• Collaborate with Data Science on forecasting models and unit economics.
• Drive AWS pricing strategy with reserved capacity and discounts.
• Based in Bellevue, WA; in-person 3 days per week.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience designing production-grade data or infrastructure systems at scale; AWS preferred.
• Strong Kubernetes skills and deep knowledge of resource efficiency and capacity planning.
• Experience in FinOps, cost attribution, anomaly detection, or cloud governance.
• Deep knowledge of cloud cost models, reserved vs on-demand, and scale impact.
• Proven technical leadership driving cross-functional projects and setting standards.
