📋 Description

• Advance backend systems powering the AI Ad Reasoner for reliability, latency, and cost.
• Collaborate with CORE to productionise image/video generation models via orchestration pipelines and rollout strategies.
• Design a shared data platform ingesting data from Google, Meta, TikTok, and Shopify.
• Improve AI generation stack performance via orchestration, batching, caching, and routing.
• Create reusable backends for LLM agents, prompts, evaluation tooling, and async jobs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across Grow, CORE, Inference, and Canva AI teams.
• Set technical direction via architecture reviews, mentorship, and reliability-focused roadmaps.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency distributed backends.
• Proficient in Java with strong backend practices and service architecture.
• Strong CS fundamentals: distributed systems, concurrency, performance, scalability.
• Collaborate with ML engineers on model-serving trade-offs, latency, and production AI systems.
• Proven track record leading cross-team technical initiatives and architecture.
• Excellent communicator explaining technical decisions across engineering, product, infra, and ML.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through collaboration.
