Staff Software Engineer, Estimates

📋 Description

• Set technical direction for 3D scoping, estimates, and scope-to-order, including material catalog
• Spend about two days a week hands-on in design and code
• Sit with adjusters and contractors to learn the workflow from the people doing it
• Review code to unblock the team and give engineering managers a clear technical read on engineers
• Help hire engineers
• Define shared surfaces for converging restoration and retail workflows

🎯 Requirements

• Experience operating as a Staff Software Engineer or equivalent, setting technical direction for a
• Deep backend and systems design skills with track record of owning a complex domain end to end
• Experience building customer-facing products and comfort working directly with customers
• Clear, direct communication: give specific feedback, contribute to product and business decisions
• Comfort making progress while direction is still being set
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL, or similar stack
