Staff Software Engineer (L4)

📋 Description

• Design and deliver high-scale routing for the Data platform.
• Ship features with high availability and throughput; eventual consistency.
• Collaborate with engineering, product leads, and Twilio Segment teams.
• Support the reliability and security of the platform.
• Build and optimize globally distributed systems.
• Be able to act as a team Tech Lead as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years production-grade coding experience; high-scale messaging systems.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals; fault-tolerant, highly available.
• Go/Java/Scala or similar; Linux systems & networking.
• AWS or GCP; Kubernetes (EKS/ECS); Kafka/Kinesis; Spark/Flink.
• CI/CD, observability tooling; AI tooling; leadership and mentoring.
