Team Lead, Android Core Product

📋 Description

• Handle critical issues and own feature releases end-to-end, working with design from decision
• Own and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide developmental feedback.
• Unblock team members stuck on problems, maintaining shared components and consolidating duplicate
• Shift verification left by growing automated checks so nightly builds serve as confirmation for QA.
• Run planning to focus team attention on work needing decisions, and manage review processes.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including leading a team or owning a major surface
• Rock solid Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background
• Experience shipping and maintaining background audio or other long-running background work.
• Understanding of testing importance and how to approach writing tests, including limitations.
• Evidence of introducing lasting improvements to a team and an honest account of the cost.
• Comfort with asking people to change how they work and handling friction.
