Director, Revenue Accounting

📋 Description

• Manage daily revenue accounting operations, including high-volume transaction processing, and
• Own the month-end revenue close process by preparing revenue journal entries and revenue account
• Manage comprehensive accounts receivable accounting functions, including custodian cash
• Ensure accurate commission calculations and recognition under US GAAP
• Lead quarterly CECL aging analysis to ensure consistent application of ASC 326
• Ensure compliance with SEC and FINRA rules and reporting

🎯 Requirements

• CPA with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in financial services industry
• Direct experience at a wealth management firm, RIA or broker-dealer
• Understanding of AUM fee billing, custodian cash flows and revenue share payout models
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers & ASC 326 Credit Impairment
• Experience with custodian cash application, accounts receivable accounting and financial reporting
