Filament Winding Technician III

📋 Description

• Set up and operate multi-axis filament winding machines to wind composite overwrapped pressure
• Prepare resin and hardener mixes to specification and manage resin baths, fiber tensioning, and
• Help develop and refine wind programs and machine offsets based off engineering drawings and
• Perform in-process inspection and measurements (pi-tape, calipers, height gauge) and document
• Identify process bottlenecks and winding defects, and support troubleshooting and root-cause
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians on winding, resin preparation, and cure processes

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on filament winding experience on composite pressure vessels or cylinders (wet
• Experience setting up and operating multi-spindle filament winding machines (e.g., Entech, McClean
• Working knowledge of carbon, glass, and aramid fiber systems and epoxy resin/hardener mixing
• Able to use and read precision measuring tools (pi-tape, calipers, height gauge, tension meters)
• Experience training or mentoring other technicians, with a strong commitment to safety and quality
