Payroll Specialist

📋 Description

• Execute full-cycle, in-house monthly payroll processing, including absences, allowances, and
• Act as primary system expert for Workday and SAP Payroll, managing data synchronization, auditing
• Analyze payroll data and workflows to identify bottlenecks, and design/implement automated
• Ensure compliance with Portuguese labor laws, collective agreements (ACTs), and tax regulations
• Conduct payroll data audits, reconcile payroll general ledger (GL) accounts, and investigate

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Licenciatura) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing within Portugal, ideally in a
• Advanced technical knowledge of Workday (HCM/Payroll) and SAP Payroll — mandatory
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, for complex data analysis, financial
• Deep understanding of Portuguese payroll taxes (IRS), social security, benefits, and year-end
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex payroll/system concepts, with strong
