Security Engineer, Application Security

📋 Description

• Support and mature Sentry's security review program across secure code review, architecture review
• Contribute to mature vulnerability management practices, including intake, triage, remediation
• Advocate for secure-by-design principles, embedding security in development lifecycle and CI/CD
• Validate and reproduce application and infrastructure security findings across Sentry's app, SDKs
• Help evaluate and respond to emerging threats relevant to application security.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience designing, building, or securing complex applications and cloud systems
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with security reviews, SDLC, secure CI/CD, architecture reviews, threat
• Proficient in at least one language and able to read code in Python, Typescript, Go, or Rust
• Familiarity with distributed cloud tech (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and cloud
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
