Senior Mobile Engineer – iOS / Android

📋 Description

• Take complex mobile features from idea to production and beyond, owning end-to-end delivery
• Partner with Product, Design, backend, and platform teams to solve challenging problems at scale
• Shape and evolve Xero's mobile architecture, transitioning towards React Native while applying
• Ensure availability, performance, accuracy, security, and scalability of shipped software
• Improve engineering efficiency through automation, AI-assisted development, and simplified
• Mentor and support other engineers; raise engineering standards through collaboration, code review

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience building and shipping production mobile applications using Swift (iOS) and/or
• Deep knowledge of native mobile platforms including performance, lifecycle management, release
• Curious and adaptable, motivated to develop strong React Native capability
• Ability to apply iOS or Android expertise to platform integration, performance, debugging, native
• Experience owning complex mobile features end to end, from design through release and operation
• Comfortable working across mobile/backend boundary; experience with mobile backend systems, APIs
