Sr. Underwriting Ops Associate

📋 Description

• Review and approve RFPs within our established underwriting authority; escalate borderline
• Validate inputs derived from broker submissions and external documentation; correct errors directly
• Monitor underwriting funnel performance, including quote volume, close ratios, quote-to-bind
• Conduct ongoing analysis of the risk composition of quoted versus bound business, surfacing early
• Triage in-flight quote inquiries and coordinate with sales operations, who own broker-facing
• Partner with health plan operations to support the downstream execution of bound business.

🎯 Requirements

• Substantive experience in group health, stop-loss or employee benefits underwriting, gained through
• Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to structure analyses, build formula-driven models
• Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle errors in numerical and written
• Excellent internal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across data science
• Comfort operating in an evolving environment where systems, processes, and tooling are actively
