Staff Android Engineer

📋 Description

• Set the technical direction for Android at Polymarket, making and owning architectural decisions
• Build and own Android features spanning payments flows, real-time market data, and core UI with
• Implement polished, performant interfaces with Jetpack Compose that hold up under real trading
• Own CI/CD pipelines and Gradle configuration, keeping the build fast and the release process
• Build and maintain integrations across WebSockets, gRPC, and streaming data to power the live
• Operate as a technical leader across a distributed team: communicate clearly, make decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Significant Android engineering experience, with a track record of owning and shaping Android
• Strong, current expertise in Kotlin with the ability to speak concretely to tradeoffs and make
• Deep experience building production UI with Jetpack Compose and a high bar for performance and
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and Gradle build configuration end-to-end
• Solid understanding of modern Android architecture with the judgment to evolve it as the product
• A track record of technical leadership: you've influenced how an engineering team works, not just
