Staff Software Engineer - Corporate Development

📋 Description

• Lead evaluation of startup acquisition opportunities in AI, cloud, and security
• Drive product evaluations and manage technical architecture discussions with Product and
• Scope PoCs and sandbox environments to stress-test candidate products
• Provide strategic recommendations and help with integration paths for post-acquisition work
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure decision-relevant insights and deal momentum
• Represent Product and Engineering in early discussions with startups and internal stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced in product development, solution architecture or engineering
• BS/MS/PhD in STEM or equivalent experience
• Effective communicator with the ability to influence leadership
• Versatile across cloud technologies relevant to Datadog products including infrastructure, APM
• Able to focus on high-priority testing goals based on value and risk
• Able to prioritize multiple stakeholders and projects with limited resources
