Staff Mechanical Engineer, Communications Hardware (Remote Eligible | Relocation Assistance Available)

📋 Description

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production for compact, ruggedized
• Develop mechanical designs balancing size, weight, durability, sealing, thermal performance, RF
• Design components using plastic injection molding, stamped metal, die casting, machining
• Build and analyze proof-of-concept prototypes; validate through FEA, tolerance analysis, and
• Design for rugged environments: drop, shock, vibration, durability, IP66/IP68 protection
• Integrate electro-mechanical components: PCB/PCBA, flex circuits, batteries, antennas

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 12+ years of mechanical product design experience
• 5+ years of technical leadership of 3+ mechanical engineers
• Experience in ruggedized, portable, wearable, or compact electronic products
• Deep experience with plastic injection molding, stamped metal, die casting, machining, adhesives
• Strong proficiency in Creo or comparable 3D CAD
