Staff Software Engineer, Brokerage Infra

📋 Description

• Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for the platform, Robinhood's tier zero order
• Lead and develop a team of 10+ engineers at various levels, coaching and mentoring emerging
• Drive modernization initiatives including and resolving core storage bottlenecks
• Own reliability and uptime KPIs — including SLOs for subsecond order latency, high availability
• Collaborate across infrastructure and product teams to enforce reliability standards and align on
• Proactively identify scalability and reliability risks, champion preventative solutions, and

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional engineering experience, with several years at the staff level and prior
• Deep expertise with tier zero or mission-critical systems at significant scale — you've contributed
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams of ~10+ engineers, including senior and
• Experience leading architectural migrations or modernization efforts (e.g., language rewrites
• Strong ownership mentality: you question scalability assumptions, enforce rigorous engineering
• Track record of maintaining system correctness and reliability in high-accountability production
